There’s only so much pink you can look at before you start to feel like you need an eye check.
Fear not. We have some awesome pink party ideas for you complete with pink custom party decor you can easily order online to complete your perfect pink party.
Did I just say pink too often? I’ll say it a lot more before we get to the end of this.
Let’s get to it:
Pink-themed party ideas
Have a little girl in your life who loves pink? I feel for you. When my daughter was born, we said we wouldn’t pigeon-hole her into the ‘pink for girls, blue for boys’ box but she fell in love with Frozen, unicorns and pink dresses anyway!
To style a pink party, simply choose a color theme and incorporate it into your decorations and attire. You can have a minimalistic or fancy pink party, either with or without all pink decorations.
Then, to make your party super special and unique, make your own party decor or easily order custom party decor that you can personalize with special messages to suit your occassion.
These party ideas would make the pink lover in your life jump for joy:
Pink Unicorn Party
There is nothing that will make a little girl happier than to have a party filled with pink balloons and unicorns. And if you bring out a pink unicorn cake, she will faint from joy. I know this from first-hand experience.
Personalized unicorn brownie anyone?
To prevent unicorn overload, choose where you place your unicorns wisely. Unicorn birthday banners and unicorn cakes are usually the ‘must-haves’.
Then sprinkle unicorn decor sparingly around the room. For example, if you have unicorn paper napkins, go with plain paper cups and plates, or vice versa.
Aren’t these custom pink unicorn paper cups cute?
Pink naturally goes well with unicorns. So do purple and white. Plan your party decor and food so that there is a unifying theme. Planning a pink unicorn party can be so fun! I’m getting excited just writing about it!

Pink Barbie Party
Barbie and her friends were such a big thing when I was growing up. I craved for a Barbie doll but never got one because they were so expensive. Now that I have kids, Barbie’s had a makeover. She’s a teen, a lot more modern and actually has realistic body proportions. One thing hasn’t changed. The statement Barbie color is still pink.
If you are planning a party for a Barbie-lover, whether that’s an adult or a kid, pink is the way to go. If it’s for an adult who knows Barbie as the hot-bod ‘perfect woman’, choose custom decor in hot-pink.
For a kids Barbie party, choose party decor in light, soft pink. Modern Barbie has so many faces now a days that you can choose from any Barbie party theme:
- Princess Barbie
- Mermaid Barbie
- Spy Squad Barbie
- Dreamhouse Barbie
Take your pick and have fun planning!

Hot Pink Neon Party
Hot Pink Neon is admittedly not my first choice but can be a good option for a teen girl or adult pink-themed party. Done right, neon parties can be really cool. It’s just a bit more expensive to decorate and takes a bit more in-depth planning to set up the scene.
If it’s for your teenage daughter, remember cool and modern vibes. If you’re planning for someone with 90s or 70s nostalgia, go for the disco vibe, complete with disco balls and strobe lights.
Classic Pink Floral Party
Think roses, carnations, cherry blossoms and pink crysanthemums. Pink floral parties are perfect for a spring garden party or morning tea gathering. You can pick pink flowers from your garden or your neighbour’s garden if they are not looking (just joking, don’t do it) to make DIY floral arrangements and garlands.
You could also get some beautifully realistic pink flower so that no real flowers are harmed during the making of the party:
There are plenty of custom party decor around with pink flowers. Personalize them with your special message for a truly unique experience.

Pink Flamingo Party
Did you know that pink flamingoes stands for going against social and cultural convention?
Flamingo parties are definitely one for the Zen-X or baby boomer generation. If you are planning a flamingo party, might as well go wild with it. Think hot pink, large feather boas and flamingo centerpieces. You can go as wild as you want with the decor, it’s part of the fun of organizing a pink flamingo party.
Pink Ribbon Party
Pink is also the color for breast cancer. You may be thinking of throwing a pink ribbon party for your loved one with breast cancer to celebrate the end of treatment, or for breast cancer fundraising. With pink ribbon parties, the focus of attention when it comes to decor is the pink ribbon. Think white background with pink ribbon for most, if not all, of your party decor.
You can even decide on a variation of the pink ribbon. Choose to do a pink rose party instead:
Pink-themed food
It’s up to you if you want your food to be pink as well. My personal preference is for only one or two menu items to be pink. Easy pink-themed food are:
- pink lemonade punch
- strawberry milkshakes
- fruit salads with pink fruits like watermelon, blood oranges, pink grapefruit, strawberries and cranberries
- beetroot hommus
- pink jelly
- pink cupcakes
- pink cake of course!
Then, choose other foods in colors that complement pink. For example, white sugar cookies, green salads, or poppyseed orange muffins.
Decoration ideas for a pink-themed party
You can use different colors to mix and match and create a unique party atmosphere. First choose the pink you want, then choose one or two other colors to complement it.
Pink color options:
- light pink
- dark pink
- hot pink
- rose pink
- coral pink
- bubblegum pink
You can even use various shades of pink to decorate. Hang light pink, dark pink, and hot pink streamers and ballloons around the room.
Use tableware in different shades of pink. Use solid color tablecloths and mix and match with pink napkins, plates, cups, utensils, and décor.
If you are having a “princess party” or a “barbie party”, you can use tiaras as part of your centerpieces or as party favors. For a fun activity, have guests make their own crowns or tiaras out of construction paper or foil.
What colors go with pink for a pink-themed birthday party?
The most obvious colors that go well with pink when planning your party decor is white or black (choose one or the other). Other shades of pink go well with pink too. Just make sure it’s a good range of pink shades. For example, you could choose light pink and dark pink to go together, magenta and blush pink etc.
