Best Nursing Bras for Moms with Small Breasts

Finding the right nursing bra can be a challenge for moms with small chests. If you are a mom with B cup or smaller boobs, it can be especially difficult to find a nursing bra that supports you without leaving gaps where there should be none.

Unfortunately, nursing bras are typically designed for women with larger breasts. But moms with small chests deserve to wear nursing bras that are supportive and comfy too.

After countless hours of research, these were the best nursing bras I found for small breasts:

Best nursing bra overall: Cake Maternity Cotton Candy Nursing Bra

Cake Lingerie Women's Nursing Bra Wireless Cotton Candy Seamless Maternity Bra Racerback Large NavyCheck it out on Amazon

What’s good about it

  • Caters to sizes 32B and upwards but should fit A cup moms as the material molds to your chest
  • Ideal as a first bra for new moms
  • Made of good quality material that can 4-way stretch to accommodate breast size fluctuation and engorgement
  • The seamless SOFTEX MICROFIBRE material provides a cooling effect and soft second-skin feel – it was one of the most comfortable bras I’ve tried
  • OEKO-TEX certified to be free from harmful substances
  • Has double layers and structured panels for great support without the use of wires
  • Designed for every day (and night) use
  • Multi-award winner – US Mom’s Choice Award, UK Mother & Baby Awards

What’s not so good about it

  • Non-padded cups – my nipples showed through these. Perfect as a lounge bra at home especially in the first few months of breastfeeding.
  • Top of bra sits high so can peek out from lower cut tops

What should a small-breasted mom look for when choosing a nursing bra?

  1. Less structured bras – structured cups will give you gaps on all sides that you will find impossible to fill.
  2. Instead choose soft, stretchy fabric that will mold to your chest. The fabric should also be elastic enough that it retracts back to its original shape to continue providing good support
  3. Adjustable under-bust band and straps so you can make sure the bra sits just right
  4. Light padding in cups to give your breasts a nice shape under clothes and prevent nipple show. Is it just me or do all moms with small breasts have large (relatively) nipples?
  5. Plunge or V-neckline nursing bras – these designs make your breasts look much better than full cup or balconette bras. Plus you get to continue wearing low-cut tops and V-neck t-shirts.

To wrap up

I know that finding the right bra can be difficult when you have a small chest so I hope this article helps you decide.

There is no perfect bra. But a nice design and good quality fabric can make all the difference. Regardless, your number one priority is to find a nursing bra that fits you like a glove and helps you feel good.
