I have a big kid (my husband), an obnoxious teen-toddler daughter, and a son still baking in the oven (17 weeks pregnant and counting). I work part-time and spend most of my days picking up after my family, cooking, cleaning, washing and doing all the things mamas just LOVE to do. But since baby brain set in with my first pregnancy, it never really left and I have had more downs than ups
I felt old. My body had changed.
And I felt numb and exhausted all the time.
I love my family. I wasn’t depressed or even unhappy. But I’ve always had issues with self-esteem and age coupled with motherhood was doing my self-confidence no favours. I just didn’t like who I was as a person anymore.
When I turned 38, I thought it was time to do something about it.
I started researching (googling) tips on how to get my sexy back and found all sorts of websites and articles. There were all the usual stuff – make time for yourself, be in the moment, meditate etc.
TELL ME SOMETHING I DON’T KNOW AND GIVE ME A REAL TIP!
I want to feel alive again.
I want to be a woman again, not just a mom.
We need to reconnect to our senses. We need to see, smell, taste, touch and hear again. And we need to do it all while juggling everything else in life.
But how do we incorporate sensuality into our everyday lives? There is hardly time to even shower. That is what this blog is about; my exploration into how busy moms can be more sensual.
